Steve Morse was born in Pittsfield, MA. His father, a photographer who traveled throughout the world, instilled in Steve the love of the camera. By the time he was 14, Steve had built his own darkroom and was developing and printing film for himself as well as for a local lab in town. He continued his education in photography at the Franklin Institute of Boston. Steve continues to produce all of his prints personally and is also a fine art printmaker.

Steve transitioned from film to a completely digital work flow through the early to mid 90’s. He has worked in Boston as a commercial photographer and is currently Vice President of Boston Photo Imaging.
